1. Anatomy & Physiology
- Human body systems: cytology, histology, osteology, organ systems.
- Head and neck anatomy: skull, brain, spinal cord.
- Functional aspects of physiological systems.
2. Physics & Radiography Fundamentals
- Basics of radiation physics relevant to radiodiagnosis.
- Understanding CT principles: scanner generations, geometry, collimation, attenuation values, CT numbers, spiral/helical CT, image reconstruction techniques (MIP, MPR, VRT, 3D).
- Artifacts and quality of imaging.
3. CT Scan Technology & Procedures
- Equipment components and maintenance.
- CT protocols: scanning techniques, positioning, slice anatomy.
- Guided procedures and specialized CT procedures: myelography, FNAC/biopsy, enteroclysis, IVP, angiography.
4. Radiation Protection & Safety
- Radiation hazards, protection principles, patient and operator safety norms.
- Regulatory standards and safe operating procedures.
5. Patient Care & Management
- Pre- and post-scan patient preparation.
- Vital monitoring and basic nursing tasks (injections, IV infusion, oxygen therapy, nebulization).
- Basic life support (BLS), CPR, hygiene, infection control, and patient communication/soft skills.
6. Image Processing & Quality Assurance
- Image analysis, post-processing techniques.
- Quality control procedures for CT systems.
- Documentation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
